The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is proud to welcome award-winning construction group Taylor as new Major Partner for the landmark 10th Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize.
As Australia’s highest-value art prize for women artists, the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize provides a powerful platform to engage, connect, support and profile women artists across the country. The partnership with Taylor reflects a shared commitment to championing women, diversity and inclusion in industries that have traditionally been male-dominated – from the arts to construction.
Taylor is passionate about creating pathways for women in construction through education outreach and learning partnerships. Initiatives such as site tours and workshops aim to inspire young women to consider careers in construction. Our Taylor Women in Construction (TWIC) program also supports connection and growth for female team members across the business.

Taylor’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Taylor, says, ‘A diverse workforce drives better outcomes for our clients and communities. Women currently make up 17% of our team, above the industry average of 13% and we aim for 25% by 2027. Through school partnerships and career programs, we encourage young women to explore construction. We are proud to partner with the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize as Major Partner and look forward to working together to build greater representation of women across our respective fields.’
Since the introduction of the Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize in 2020, the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize has seen a continued increase in entries from First Nations artists across all categories. In 2025, a record 60 Indigenous artists entered artworks in the Indigenous Emerging category—an increase of 114% from 2024—with 13 Indigenous Emerging artists announced as Finalists. Taylor is committed to building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The company focuses on creating opportunities, fostering cultural connection, and supporting participation across its projects.
Ravenswood School for Girls Head of Visual Arts, Art Prize Judge and Exhibition Curator Kathryn Minkley welcomed the new partnership, saying, ‘Ravenswood School for Girls has long been a lighthouse for creativity and empowerment, proudly championing the extraordinary talents of women artists nationwide. I’m delighted to welcome Taylor as a Major Partner and look forward to working together to further elevate the voices and visibility of women artists in Australia.’
Taylor is currently constructing the world-class Anne Johnstone Wellbeing and Sports Centre at Ravenswood School for Girls, which will include a dedicated exhibition space to showcase the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize from 2027. The new facility will also feature advanced wellbeing and learning environments for students and staff, including wellbeing spaces and classrooms, a new Great Hall and Gymnasium for up to 1,700 people, Basketball and Netball, roof-top Tennis Courts, and a state-of-the-art Strength and Conditioning Centre.
