- I belong to the Walbanja-Yuin people of the Far South Coast of New South Wales. My practice is grounded in acrylics, ink and watercolour. Walking along the shorelines, our feet lightly crush millions of white shells pushed up by waves into long mounds on the sand—reminding me of the Oyster Bay Tribe who once roamed here, gathering seafood. The silence and stillness, the towering blue gums and she-oaks, the fresh air—all awaken the senses. I watch saltwater trickle across the sand, carving crevice marks, and I am reminded: this is what I love.
