- Detailed Instructions for the setup of your instillation / sculpture
- I am available for install if required OR available to talk through anything with the installer on the day via mobile. This sculpture is not a complex install and would only take under 30minutes. Though it is a porcelain sculpture and requires the installer to take there time/be patient when handling the work so nothing is broken or chipped on the petals of the sculpture. Follow the instructions written with black permanent marker on the timber crate to carefully remove the sculpture. When handling the sculpture from the box and placing on the shelf - please hold sculpture with fingers/hands on an area where there is no details/ petals protruding from the work, as they could break if handled to strongly. For example one hand underneath the head and one hand on the tail. The work comes with its own shelf and screws to be installed on the wall. I can email through an image of this if selected. It will look amazing if the work is mounted on the wall at eye level. As this was how it was created to be viewed. Though I understand if this is not possible due to weight of shelf/work on the walls at Ravenswood. So I am flexible if it needs to be exhibited on a tall plinth that is also fine.

- Artist Statement
- ‘The Guardian (II)’ reflects the stark beauty of snow-capped landscapes that surrounded me in Japan while exploring ancient temples & shrines. Reminiscent of the protective figures found in temple entrances, standing watchful and stoic, embodying a quiet strength. Walking through these sacred sites was a reminder of impermanence and ritual. Echoing the purity of freshly fallen snow. The soft pale glaze is more than a material choice; it is a gesture toward the philosophies that permeate Eastern culture. White signifies beginnings, clarity, and the cyclical nature of existence, a presence that is both fragile and resolute, like the snow itself.
