- This sculpture is flat on the bottom and able to be sat on a plinth for display. It does have a small mirror in the bottom which can be removed and replaced easily as an engagement opportunity for people to see the inside of the sculpture through the opening at the top. So average waist height would be best if the mirror was to be used for engagement.

- Artist Statement
- This piece is a response to my feelings as an Aboriginal women in todays world and the weight we carry daily in our lives. The piece is made from multiple coloured raffia threads, woven together with natural raffia and has white stones looped with waxed fibre incorporated into the piece representing a multicultural and white privileged tower that we climb daily only to reach the top to be presented with a GAP that never closes across may areas and aspects of our lives. If you view the inside of the piece there is a small mirror at the bottom showing your reflection. No longer is it our load to carry along the journey to reconciliation, truth telling or our voices being heard, who do you see? Yourself. THats right its time for you to step up and live, walk and work with us.
