- It’s the late afternoon in summer, and the warm golden hour light spills in the window as you wipe down the kitchen in preparation for dinner. You can smell peaches along the bench in the fruit bowl, left out to ripen. There's something undeniably sweet about summer domesticity. ‘Ode to Peaches and Cleaning’ is a painting that honours the quiet beauty of everyday life. It’s a celebration of common objects and average tasks. The ornate ceramic frame raises the objects from their mundane status and praises their everyday-ness.
