- Kinning with Lake explores Pasco-White’s relationship with various bodies of water near her home studio within western Victoria’s volcanic lakes region—an ecosystem at once teeming with flora and fauna, whilst also increasingly contaminated by human activity, including heavy industry and urban development. Aiming to understand the messy ecosystem of the lake, Pasco-White finds appreciation in the entanglements affecting the environments that both human and more-than-human bodies contribute to. Kinning with Lake therefore reflects her current preoccupation with toxic embodiment: situating the artist and her work as enmeshed and co-constituted with other living and non-living beings.
