- Artist Statement
- As a painter printmaker my work explores the built environment and is connected to ‘place.’ To travel from one environment to another as well as one city to another informs the way I move through it which in turn reflects the work I produce. I am fascinated by the mystery of printmaking and through experimentation and an element of play, I can re- invent new ways of working. Hence the work on linen which was made form copper plates that are transformed using traditional etching, engraving and aquatint processes, then wiped and relief printed, painted and layered. It is through the transparent layers that the built environment materialises.
