- "Infrabotanica" explores the delicate interplay between nature's resilience and fragility. Evolving from previous work with naturally occurring infrared light, this project utilises artificial infrared light from a home security light to reveal unseen botanical frequencies. I grew each flower in my garden, selecting every specimen for its unique sculptural properties and specific stage of life or decay. Using a full-spectrum camera and focus stacking, each photograph amalgamates 100 shots, transforming these blooms into porcelain-like sculptures. I replaced backgrounds with machine-generated imagery trained on traditional Wedgwood Jasperware, framing each flower as a timeless relic and reimagining our desire to preserve nature.
