- Artist Statement
- A garden requires regular human intervention to maintain it and prevent its decay. By their very nature, gardens are cyclical and ever changing. A deliberately planned, yet transient space. “Carnivorous” is an imagining of the carnivorous plant exhibit that existed at the royal botanical gardens in Sydney in 2019. It is part of a larger series of works, “Lost Gardens”, that explores the way that both our collective and personal memories of gardens provide connection with the past.
