- The Wilhelm Scream is a famous and much loved 1950’s film industry sound effect that has become a recurring industry 'easter egg' in over 400 films including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Toy Story. In ‘Bitten', the full, unedited creative commons sound effect recording (SSE Vintage Voices) is a repeating soundtrack for a series of playful visualisations of male narrative fantasies and character stereotypes – jungle adventures, fashion obsessions and ER horror. Applying her unique generative AI content creation techniques, Horton creates a series of fun, stylistically contrasting video vignettes that add a new dimension to the Wilhelm Scream tradition.
