Australian Women’s Art Prize
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is the highest-value art prize for women in Australia with $58,000 in prize money available across Professional Artist, Emerging Artist and Indigenous Emerging Artist categories – plus a People’s Choice Award and Highly Commended Awards.
Established in 2017 to advance art and opportunity for emerging and established women artists in Australia, entries to the Art Prize have grown exponentially each year.
There are three prize categories: the Professional Artist Prize of $35,000, the Emerging Artist Prize of $7,500 (supported by The Reed Family Foundation) and the Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize of $7,500 (supported by the Guardian and Scarborough Foundation). There is also a People’s Choice Award of $2,000 (supported by Edwina Palmer) plus a Derivan art pack valued at $500 and six Highly Commended Awards (two for each category) of $1,000 each (supported by Community Bank Lindfield) will also be awarded.

The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is an annual prize and exhibition supported and hosted by Ravenswood School for Girls. It aims to inspire, promote and connect generations of Australian women artists.
Entries for the 2026 Art Prize will open in November 2025.
